¡Ah cómo me gusta este lugar!

Nos tocó un dia hermoso y los jardines estaban en su mejor momento. Es de esos lugares perfectos para tomar fotografías. Ese día había una boda en una pequeña capilla del lugar. ¡Un sitio espectacular para una boda!

Lo único malo es que por la misma razón estaba cerrada una sección del convento, donde se llevaría a cabo la recepción. Así que no pudimos visitar la capilla de los secretos ni los jardines  con los árboles inmensos. Pero los pueden ver en una entrada en este blog de una visita anterior que hice.  🙂

Oh how I love this place!

In this visit we had a beautiful day and the gardens were at their best. It is one of those perfect places to take pictures. That day there was a wedding taking place at the little chapel. A great place for a wedding indeed!

The only inconvenient is that for the same reason a section of the convent was closed. Precisely where the reception would take place. So we could not visit the chapel of the secrets or the gardens with huge trees. But you can watch them in a previous entry in this blog from another. 🙂

En la zona boscosa de La Marquesa (Increíblemente en el DF) se encuentra el parque nacional Desierto de Los Leones. En medio del bosque se encuentra el precioso ex-convento  Carmelita del año 1606. Ni es desierto ni hay leones. Se les llamaba «desiertos» a los lugares apartados y de recogimiento y se dice que de los «Leones», por la familia que lo construyó. Es un lugar hernoso y apacible y vale mucho la pena visitar.

In the woods of La Marquesa (incredibly IN Mexico City) is located the National Park Desierto de los Leones (Desert of the Lions). There is the beautiful carmelite ex-convent built in the year 1606. It is not a desert nor there are any lions. In those times the places for solitude and meditation were called «deserts» and «Lion» seems to be the name of the family who built the convent. A beautiful and peaceful place is very worth the visit.
